Zatoczka – Pre-Order and Single Release
Posted August 3, 2020“Hi – I'm excited to let you know the pre-order now for the new album, "Zatoczka – Tribute to Komeda" is now available, including two singles for immediate download. The full album release date is August 28 2020.
"Zatoczka" is the music from last year's concert for Polish Music Day, commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the legendary Polish pianist/composer, Krzysztof Komeda. This was jointly presented by Polish Film Festival/Polish Cinema in Australia. It is structured as a kind of audio movie, that inspired the cinematic imagery mixed live by video artist, Jean Poole, on the night.
The resulting album captures the magic from the concert, which saw Adam Simmons’ 8-piece Creative Music Ensemble joined by legendary Australian pianist Tony Gould and masterful vocalist Deborah Kayser. The CD features imagery from the "film" that Jean Poole created – and there will be a full video single coming on Aug 13.
