Toy Band – Happy Jacket 2002

Happy JacketPURCHASE ALBUM

The Adam Simmons Toy Band is an eccentric eight-piece ensemble which utilises different toys – such as rubber chickens, origami frogs, spinning tops, balloons, whistles and animal masks – alongside a traditional line-up of bass, drums, and horns – to gleefully create madcap performances of inspired, musical mayhem… The band's focus is on original music with an irreverent sense of humour, the toys adding not only new sounds to the mix but creating a dash of theatrics and creative lunacy.

The Adam Simmons Toy Band has performed at festivals like St Kilda, Meredith, Queenscliff and Wangaratta Jazz Fest, as well as appearing on "Spicks and Specks" a couple of times, including a Christmas special.
