The Adam Simmons Toy Band was formed late 2001 and has been appeared at several festivals, including Queenscliff Music Festival, Meredith Music Festival, Half Bent Winter Jazz Fest, Melbourne Fringe Festival and Nth Melbourne's Spring Fling.

The visual/theatrical side is important for the overall experience but the music is intended to stand by itself. The Toy Band received a grant from Arts Victoria to record 'Happy Jacket.' The CD includes a CD-Rom element so as to be able to see and hear the band.
