The Quartet has been the longest running project of Adam's, beginning with a concert for his 21st birthday (the group was dubbed 'Fast Eddie Felson and the Boppity Brothers' for this inaugural performance). The compositions are a mix of Adam, Andrew and Simon's. The group has played in many venues around Melbourne and Victoria, with a variation including Lachlan Davidson (sax) and Justin Dwyer (drums) going to Noumea in 1996 for the Jazz en Aout Festival.
The CD has been reviewed favourably, being compared to Michael Brecker (Michael 75%, ASQ 85% - David James, the Bulletin).
